Did you know?

HealthStreet hosts support groups for people diagnosed with cancer and can link them to other resources, including opportunities to participate in health research.

Our survivor cohort has over 980 community members. If you're interested in joining, call us at (352) 294-4880.

Are you interested in participating in research?

UF researchers conduct many different kinds of research studies, including clinical trials. Some studies focus on enrolling volunteers with certain health conditions, but others need healthy volunteers.

HealthStreet is currently navigating people to many of these studies, some of which you can complete in minutes.

Here are a few studies that you can participate in now:

  1. A focus group for pregnant and newly-postpartum women to assess the acceptance and usability of a mobile-phone application to manage anxiety and monitor mood-change symptoms;
  2. An interview for caregivers of children who are currently 0- to 17-years-old to answer questions about their experiences caring for a child with asthma;
  3. A two-hour focus group for people who use cocaine with either alcohol, marijuana, or both to help researchers understand the best questions to  ask to gather information on polysubstance use; and
  4. A study for older adults, 65- to 89-years-old, to examine a mild form of brain stimulation and its effect on thinking and memory improvement.

If you are interested in hearing more about these and other studies, please contact HealthStreet at 352-294-4880.
